Last Fall, we decided to rebrand Kit and Ace's online magazine. I worked with the Creative Director are Head of Content to develop a new design system. The concept was rooted in one of our key brand pillars - clothes that take you from A to B. Thus, a new online resource for stories about the journey in-between.

Black Friday Campaign
In the United States, Black Friday has been the busiest shopping day of the year since 2005. Each fall we read reports about how extreme these sales can get. This year, we decided to give our customers a chance to breathe. Centered around the concept of mindfulness - a core Kit and Ace value - we encourages our clients to find an oasis in our showroom amid the hectic shopping and stressfulness of Black Friday.

Pacific Surf Co. Branding
I had the incredible opportunity to work with Pacific Surf Co., formerly Pacific Surf School, in Tofino, BC. With a multitude of different logos and graphic styles acquired over the years, the shop need to unify their image for a consistent and memorable mark. While maintaining true West Coast surf vibes through woodcut illustrations and bright California influenced colours, we worked with clean sans serif type and contemporary icons to create a surf school which appealed to both the surf community and visitors to Tofino.
The exhibit, Core Values: An architectural deconstruction of Mid Century Modernism on the West Coast, celebrates the materials and aesthetics of the style. The focus of the exhibit was the interplay between Modernism’s core values: form=function and beauty=structural value. The solution was to showcase how each material played an integral role in the movement’s enduring appeal.
The invitation mimics the deconstruction motif of the exhibit. Recipients had to literally take apart the invitation to get the details of the event. They could then rebuild the piece as a West Coast Modernist memento.
The signage made use of the primary building materials of Mid-Century West Coast Modernism: wood, glass and concrete.

High Noon showcases the work of freelance illustrators directly without the participation of art representatives. The magazine produces biannual issues in three cities: Vancouver, New York, and Berlin. Local illustrators pay for their work to be featured and this creates a revenue stream for the magazine.
